Memo for the board meeting held on Dec. 2, 2007 (sun anguang)

 

Mission: Make our organization No.1 in promoting Chinese Taichi outside China.

 

Operation focus: publicity and raising funds

 

  1. Make full use of mass media.
  2. Make full use of website (propaganda, communicate & meeting online)
  3. Write letters to local officials and ask for credentials.
  4. Issue plaques and credentials to sponsors and contributors (herb doctors & teachers).
  5. Establish relationship with Chinese Wushu Association and USA Wushu-Kungfu Federation.
  6. Establish relationship with high profile organizations and societies.
  7. Organize annual Olympic-Taichi-Exhibition (Olympic refers to multi-culture and huge scale)
  8. Hold seminars and workshops
  9. Build up our image through
    • Board member group practice once a month (one hour training before meeting)
    • Board member two volunteer hours every month to teach Taichi (in senior center, self-support group or other charities)
    • Board member group demonstration whenever we have chance

First board members of SCTA, 1999
Southern California Taichichuan Association was founded in 1999. The first three who conceived the idea and took the most important positions are the President Cai Wei Yu, General Secretary Sun anguang and Treasure Joe Chan.
