I’ve been comparing different types of leather lately, and top grain leather keeps coming up as a popular option. From what I understand, it’s slightly processed to give it a smoother and more uniform finish, which actually makes it look more refined than some other types.
I’m considering buying a jacket made from top grain leather, but I’m a bit confused about whether it’s the best choice compared to full-grain leather. I’ve read that it’s durable and easier to maintain, but I’m not sure how well it holds up over time or if it develops that same character with age.
If anyone here has experience with top grain leather products, I’d really appreciate your input. Is it a good long-term investment, and how does it perform with regular use?
