Hi everyone,
I found an incredibly charming mid-century bungalow that hits every single requirement on my wish list, including a massive backyard and a beautifully updated kitchen.
The catch is that it sits roughly three miles away from the city's main airport runway. During our initial afternoon tour, the indoor noise level seemed completely fine, but I’m terrified that daily cargo flights will disrupt our sleep or ruin outdoor barbecues.
I am currently browsing online to See homes for sale farther away, but this price point is just so tempting. Has anyone bought a house near a busy flight path?
Thanks in advance.

Buying directly under a flight path is definitely a personal comfort gamble! Some people adapt within a few weeks and completely tune out the engine roars, while others find the vibration incredibly annoying.
If you decide to move forward, check if the property features specialized acoustic double-pane windows and extra attic insulation, as these upgrades drastically cut down on indoor sound.
However, keep in mind that when you eventually decide to relocate, the proximity to the tarmac might shrink your buyer pool. If you aren't fully convinced, continue to See homes for sale in quieter neighborhoods first!
