Avana 100 mg improves erection quality because it enhances the natural blood-flow mechanism required for an erection. Its active ingredient, avanafil, is a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor. During sexual stimulation, the body releases nitric oxide in the penile tissues. This triggers the production of a chemical called cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), which relaxes smooth muscles in blood vessel walls and allows more blood to flow into the penis. This increased blood flow creates a firm erection. The problem in erectile Avana 100 is that an enzyme called PDE5 breaks down cGMP too quickly. Avanafil blocks this enzyme, so cGMP stays active longer. As a result, blood vessels remain relaxed for a longer time, improving both the firmness and duration of the erection. Compared to some older ED medicines, avanafil is known for its relatively fast onset and selective action on PDE5, which may lead to fewer side effects in some users. However, it still only works when there is sexual stimulation—it does not create an erection on its own. Common effects can include headache, flushing, nasal congestion, or dizziness. It should not be used with nitrate medications, as this combination can cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure. Always medical supervision is recommended, especially if there are heart, liver, or blood pressure conditions.
