Malegra DXT Plus is a combination medicine that contains sildenafil (for erectile dysfunction) and dapoxetine (for premature ejaculation). Whether it is suitable for older men depends much more on overall health than on age alone. In many older men, erectile dysfunction is linked to cardiovascular disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, or medication use. Because sildenafil affects blood vessels and blood pressure, it may not be safe for those who take nitrate medicines (commonly used for chest pain), have severe heart disease, recent stroke, or uncontrolled blood pressure. Malegra DXT Plus can also cause dizziness, nausea, and blood pressure changes, which may be more pronounced in older adults. For healthy older men without significant heart, liver, or kidney problems, doctors may still prescribe it, but usually with caution and careful dose selection. A lower starting dose or alternative treatment is often preferred to reduce side effects like headache, flushing, dizziness, or fainting. Older men are generally more sensitive to drug interactions and side effects, so self-medication is not recommended. A medical evaluation is important before using this medicine to ensure cardiovascular safety and to check for interactions with other regular medications.
