Silagra 100 mg contains Sildenafil, a medicine used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED). It helps improve blood flow to the penis so a man can get and maintain an erection when sexually stimulated. How it works in the body When a man is sexually aroused, the body releases nitric oxide in the penile tissue. This triggers the production of a chemical called cGMP (cyclic guanosine monophosphate). cGMP relaxes the smooth muscles in the blood vessels of the penis, allowing more blood to flow in, which leads to an erection. Normally, an enzyme called PDE-5 (phosphodiesterase type 5) breaks down cGMP. Silagra 100 Mg works by blocking this enzyme. When PDE-5 is inhibited, cGMP stays active longer, so blood vessels remain relaxed and blood flow is improved during sexual stimulation. Key points It does not cause an erection automatically It works only with sexual arousal Usually takes effect in 30–60 minutes Effects can last about 4–6 hours In simple terms, Silagra 100 mg helps the natural erection process work better by improving blood flow in the penis when you are sexually stimulated.
