I’ve been wondering this for a while. Do ads for dating platforms really convert, or is it just one of those things that looks good on paper but doesn’t work in real life?

When I first tried running campaigns, I honestly thought it would be easy. Dating is a huge niche, people are always signing up, so traffic shouldn’t be a problem. But the real issue hit me fast. Clicks were coming in, but conversions were all over the place. Either people bounced quickly or signed up but didn’t engage at all. It felt like I was just burning budget.

After a bit of trial and error, I realized the problem wasn’t traffic, it was intent. Not everyone clicking on a dating ad is actually ready to join. Some are just curious, some are bored, and some just click anything that looks interesting.

One thing that helped me was focusing more on the ad angle instead of just pushing generic creatives. When I tested different messages, like casual connections vs serious relationships, I saw a noticeable difference. Also, narrowing down the audience a bit instead of going too broad made things more stable.

I came across this while exploring different approaches to Ads for Dating Platforms, and it gave me a better idea of how targeting and creatives actually work together.

I wouldn’t say I’ve fully figured it out yet, but now it feels less random. If anything, I’d say testing small changes matters more than big strategies here. Curious if others had the same experience or if I just made it harder than it needed to be.
