Hi everyone,

I wanted to share some thoughts and also hear from others working with
Variable Message Sign (VMS) displays.
These signs have become a big part of traffic management and public communication, especially on highways and in smart city projects.

We recently worked on a project using LED based
VMS boards
for real time alerts like traffic congestion, diversions, and safety messages.
The biggest advantage we noticed was how quickly information could be updated remotely using
VMS software.
During incidents or peak hours, that real time control really helps in managing traffic better.

We partnered with
Stream Purple VMS solutions,
an Indian company that provides VMS solutions along with installation and support.
The displays were bright, weather resistant, and easy to manage even for non technical staff.
Portable
VMS options
were also useful for temporary roadwork and events.

I’m curious to know:

  • Are you using VMS displays in your city or projects?

  • What challenges have you faced with installation or maintenance?

  • Do you prefer fixed or portable VMS boards?

Looking forward to hearing your experiences and recommendations.
