I'm curious about getting into 3D printing but don't know where to start. What's a good beginner-friendly 3D printer? Also, what software do I need to create or download models? Any recommendations for learning the basics?

I remember being in your exact spot a couple years ago, totally overwhelmed by all the options. I started with an Ender 3 V2—it's affordable, has a huge community behind it for troubleshooting, and taught me the mechanics without breaking the bank. For software, Tinkercad is perfect for absolute beginners to learn basic design, and you'll want Cura or PrusaSlicer to prepare your files for printing. Once you're ready for actual projects, you'll find that sites offering high-quality STL Models like Gambody can be a game-changer, especially if you're into gaming; their detailed files print beautifully and save you from struggling with poorly designed models. For learning, just jump in—search YouTube for "first 3D print setup" for your specific printer, expect some failed prints, and know that every mistake teaches you something useful.
