I have noticed that most puns focus on high-scoring offensive stars.
However, some of the most creative funny football names actually center on the often-overlooked special teams units.
Phrases like "Punt Intended" or "Fair Catch Fever" offer a refreshing break from the usual trends. Why do you think the kicker and punter positions lend themselves so well to linguistic humor?
I would love to hear your most original suggestions for names that pay homage to the tactical aspects of the kicking game rather than just the superstars.
