Silditop 100 is a brand name for Sildenafil Citrate 100 mg, which is used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) and, in some cases, pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). It works by inhibiting the enzyme phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5), which increases blood flow to the penis, helping men with ED achieve and maintain an erection when sexually stimulated. While Silditop 100 is generally safe for most men with ED, there are several groups of individuals who may require medical supervision while taking this medication. These include people with the following conditions: 1. Heart Disease or Cardiovascular Conditions Angina (Chest Pain): Sildenafil, like other PDE5 inhibitors, can cause a drop in blood pressure. If you have a history of heart disease, especially angina or have had a heart attack, you need careful monitoring because the blood pressure-lowering effect could exacerbate heart issues. Heart Failure: If you have heart failure or any significant cardiac condition, it’s essential to consult a doctor. Sildenafil can affect the heart and circulatory system, so medical supervision is necessary to ensure it doesn’t worsen your condition. Arrhythmias (Irregular Heartbeat): People with irregular heartbeats or other serious heart rhythm issues should avoid sildenafil without first discussing it with their healthcare provider. 2. Low Blood Pressure (Hypotension) Sildenafil causes blood vessels to relax and widen, lowering blood pressure. If you already have low blood pressure (hypotension), taking Silditop 100 could result in a further drop in blood pressure, causing dizziness, fainting, or other complications. In such cases, the healthcare provider may adjust the dose or recommend avoiding sildenafil.
