Vilitra, which contains Vardenafil as its active ingredient, is used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men, much like Viagra (Sildenafil) and Cialis (Tadalafil). As for whether Vilitra needs to be taken with food, the short answer is no—it doesn't need to be taken with food. However, fatty meals can slow down its absorption and delay its onset of action. So, while it’s okay to take Vilitra with or without food, for the best results, it's often recommended to take it on an empty stomach or at least avoid very heavy, fatty meals right before taking it. Key points: Take it about 30 minutes to 1 hour before sexual activity. Avoid large, fatty meals to ensure faster absorption and effect. Drink a glass of water with it to help it dissolve more easily. It’s important to follow the dosage instructions provided by your doctor or pharmacist, especially since the medication is available in various strengths (e.g., 10 mg, 20 mg).
