Hi everyone,
I'm currently practicing the Brush Knee Twist Step in the Yang style form, and I'm having some trouble maintaining balance and feeling properly rooted during the transition from the rear foot to the front. I notice that when I shift my weight forward, I sometimes feel a bit unstable or "light" in my stance, especially when the front hand extends.
My question is: How do you maintain a strong sense of rooting and balance during the forward weight shift in Brush Knee Twist Step?
Are there specific alignment cues or internal sensations I should be focusing on to stay grounded? I’d love to hear how others approach this—especially from those with experience in Yang style.
Thanks in advance for any tips or perspectives!
Warm regards, golf hit
