Hi everyone,

I’ve been practicing Yang-style Tai Chi for a little over a year, and while I feel more relaxed and coordinated now, I still struggle with maintaining a strong sense of rooting, especially during transitions in the form (like Brush Knee or Repulse Monkey).

I understand rooting is fundamental for balance and power, but in motion it sometimes feels like I’m just "floating" or losing connection with the ground.

My question is:
What are some effective drills or internal cues you use to improve and maintain rooting while moving, not just in static postures?

Appreciate any insights, especially from more experienced practitioners or instructors. Thanks!
