If your Linksys Velop 5GHZ band not working with the 5 GHz speed, then you are not alone. This high-speed band sometimes encounters connectivity problems because of interference, firmware glitches, compatibility issues with devices, etc.

Check to see if your device supports 5GHz Wi-Fi. Many devices of the past only connect to 2.4GHz. Now be sure the 5 GHz band is enabled in your Velop settings via either the Linksys app or the web dashboard. Sometimes, firmware updates turn off a setting. Also, check that your Velop system firmware is fully updated for optimum performance.

If the band is enabled and not broadcasting, power cycle your nodes and router; this often clears hidden bugs. Also, try to lessen physical obstructions or interference coming from neighboring electronics.

Troubleshooting Linksys Velop systems can be easy when you have the right set of steps. If the problem doesn't go away, consider resetting your nodes or splitting the SSIDs for 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands to gain insight into where the problem is. Just by looking at the issue, you will definitely be able to get high-speed working again for your devices.
