Are assurance audits for manufacturing companies really worth it? We’re a small-to-mid-size operation and have mostly relied on internal QC. Now, a potential buyer is insisting on independent assurance audits before approving large orders. If you’ve added external audits to your process, did it actually improve production consistency or just increase paperwork? Also curious if it helped with insurance premiums or certifications. Would really value hearing how these audits worked (or didn’t) for your manufacturing business.
