Traveling in JFK with KLM was a welcome change from my previous airport experiences. KLM Airlines JFK Terminal is known for being clean, having good signage, and a passenger-friendly environment. Check-in went quickly, with good use of self-service kiosks and good availability of staff to answer questions. Security was quick, and the TSA personnel were courteous—a welcome treat. Within the terminal, I was impressed by the spotless floors, new lighting, and peaceful atmosphere. There were ample waiting areas around the gates, some even with USB and power outlets. I took a quick bite at a food court, which had a variety of choices, including vegetarian and halal dishes. The restrooms were clean and serviced regularly. Boarding was also well announced and done by groups without any disorganization or confusion. I could see that both new and veteran passengers appeared relaxed. It's clear that KLM standards don't just apply to the aircraft but to the whole ground experience. I would fly through JFK Terminal 4 with KLM to anyone who appreciates order, tidiness, and great service from beginning to end.
