I’m trying to improve at Wordle and one thing I always notice is how some people manage to guess the word in just 2 or 3 tries consistently. I’m honestly amazed. It’s not just luck — it seems like they’ve got a solid method or sequence that works.

My usual approach is to start with a common vowel-heavy word, and then I try to build guesses based on what’s revealed. But I sometimes get stuck in loops or make wrong assumptions, which costs me extra attempts. So I’m curious about strategies others are using to solve the puzzle efficiently and accurately.

For reference, I’ve been using this handy 5 letter words list to explore more guess options. It really helps when I want to test different word structures or create a list of potential second guesses based on letter feedback. I also follow the Wordle Answer archive to see if any patterns emerge, or to spot tricky letter combos that trip me up.

So my question to the Wordle experts out there is:

  • What’s your first, second, and third guess formula?

  • Do you use letter frequency, keyboard patterns, or word list filtering?

  • How do you refine your second guess — do you go aggressive or play it safe?

Any insight or step-by-step breakdown would be really helpful — especially if you’ve developed a consistent system that new players can try.
