Aurogra 100 mg contains Sildenafil Citrate, a drug used primarily to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. It is a generic version of Viagra and works by enhancing blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation. Mechanism of Action of Aurogra 100 mg (Sildenafil Citrate): Inhibition of PDE5: Sildenafil is a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor. PDE5 breaks down cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), a molecule that Aurogra 100 MG relaxation of smooth muscle in blood vessels. Increased cGMP Levels: By inhibiting PDE5, Sildenafil increases cGMP levels. This causes relaxation of the smooth muscles in the corpus cavernosum (erectile tissue of the penis). Enhanced Blood Flow: The relaxed muscles allow more blood to flow into the penis during sexual arousal. This results in an erection that can be sustained for satisfactory sexual activity. Sexual Stimulation Required: Sildenafil does not cause an erection on its own—it only works in the presence of sexual stimulation, which triggers the release of nitric oxide (NO), leading to the cGMP production in the first place.
