Hi there! Just wanted to share our experience flying with Southwest Airlines MDW Terminal out of Chicago Midway International Airport — it was a breeze! If you're wondering what terminal Southwest uses at Midway, it's Terminal, and honestly, everything was super straightforward from the moment we arrived.
We were flying to Orlando for a family vacation, and because we were traveling with kids, we were a bit anxious about airport logistics. But Terminal at Midway turned out to be really family-friendly. Check-in was quick, and Southwest staff were kind enough to help us reorganize our bags so we didn’t go over the limit.
Security moved faster than I expected, and once we got to the gates, there were plenty of spots to sit, grab snacks, and even let the kids stretch their legs a bit. Terminal A has a relaxed vibe, and we found some great food options nearby, including a sandwich place that made grabbing lunch easy.
One thing I really appreciated — Southwest’s gate agents were friendly and gave families with small children extra time to board. It made getting our carry-ons settled and the kids buckled in feel a lot less rushed.
