I had a layover flight with United and had baggage issues on the way to the U.S. from Budapest. After several useless exchanges of emails back and forth with customer service online, I finally went to the United Airlines Budapest Office in person. The employees there were very cooperative and immediately took my problem seriously. They located my luggage and even got airport personnel involved to have it rerouted properly. Within 48 hours, my luggage was brought to me at my last destination. I was impressed with their commitment and communication. It's obvious they understand the anxiety of travelers and do all they can to assist. Although I was initially annoyed at the delay, the office staff made all the difference. For anyone that has to navigate intricate travel complications or requires emergency assistance, this office offers customized service that's not easy to get from virtual assistance portals. Well done to the local team for sorting everything out promptly.
