This is a list of the usual UK tax codes:
1257L: Standard tax-free personal allowance
BR: All your income is taxed at the basic rate of 20%.
D0: All your income is subject to 40% in higher-rate tax.
D1: Income fully taxed at the additional rate of 45%.
K: You need to pay more tax than your allowance allows.
NT: No tax deducted
M: Marriage Allowance recipient
