Malegra Pro 100 mg is a medication used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) and contains Sildenafil Citrate, the same active ingredient found in Viagra. Sildenafil works by inhibiting the enzyme phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5), which leads to increased blood flow to the penis, helping to achieve and maintain an erection.

However, it should not be taken with nitrates, which are medications commonly prescribed to treat chest pain (angina) or heart conditions. The reason for this is due to the potential for a dangerous drop in blood pressure. Both Sildenafil in MALEGRA PRO 100 MG and nitrates cause blood vessels to relax and dilate. When used together, this effect can become excessive, leading to severe hypotension (low blood pressure).

A sharp decline in blood pressure can cause symptoms such as dizziness, fainting, and in extreme cases, it can lead to a heart attack or stroke. Nitrates are known to widen blood vessels, and when combined with Sildenafil, this can exacerbate the blood pressure-lowering effects.

For safety reasons, individuals taking nitrates should avoid Sildenafil-containing medications like Malegra Pro. Always consult a healthcare provider before starting or combining medications to ensure they are safe for you.
