The airport is well aware of the burden long wait times place on travelers and is constantly rolling out improvements. Here’s what ATL is doing to help speed up the experience:

More Automated Screening Lanes: These allow multiple passengers to load bins simultaneously, reducing backups.

Expanded CLEAR and PreCheck Enrollment Centers: Making it easier for travelers to join.

Digital Queue Management: Some terminals now let you “reserve” TSA slots in advance during certain hours.

As these enhancements roll out, travelers can expect shorter waits and more convenience across the board.

Arrive Early, But Not Too Early: Based on atl tsa wait times , arriving 2 hours before domestic flights and 3 for international is a safe bet—unless you're traveling during off-peak hours.
