Hey everyone!
With the rise of MMA, BJJ, and other combat sports, I’ve been wondering—where does traditional Karate stand today?
Some say it's outdated for real-world self-defense, while others believe its discipline, technique, and philosophy still make it one of the best martial arts. Does Karate still hold its ground in today's fight scene, or has it evolved more into a sport than a practical fighting system?
Also, I recently came across a cash for cars edmonton program and it got me thinking—if martial arts schools or dojos partnered with such initiatives, could it help fund training programs or support local fighters?
Would love to hear thoughts from Karate practitioners and martial artists of all backgrounds!
