The Char Dham Yatra 2025 refers to the sacred pilgrimage to four important Hindu shrines located in the Indian state of Uttarakhand: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. This journey is considered one of the holiest pilgrimages for Hindus, as these temples are dedicated to prominent deities—Goddess Yamuna, Goddess Ganga, Lord Shiva, and Lord Vishnu—respectively. Every year, thousands of devotees undertake the Char Dham Yatra to seek blessings, attain spiritual peace, and experience the majestic beauty of the Himalayan ranges.
Char Dham Overview: Yamunotri - The source of the Yamuna River, where devotees come to offer prayers to Goddess Yamuna. The journey involves a trek from Hanuman Chatti to Yamunotri, which is approximately 6 kilometers.
Gangotri - The origin of the Ganges River, where devotees pay their respects to Goddess Ganga. The Gangotri temple is nestled amidst picturesque surroundings, and the journey to the temple involves traveling by road, which is more accessible compared to Yamunotri.
Kedarnath - One of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, Kedarnath is a significant pilgrimage site in Uttarakhand. It involves a trek of about 16 kilometers from Gaurikund, but the stunning views and spiritual significance make it one of the most revered spots for Hindus.
