Identify the Element: Start by identifying the element you want to find the electron configuration for. You'll need to know the element's atomic number, which represents the number of protons in the nucleus and electrons in a neutral atom.

Aufbau Principle: Follow the Aufbau Principle, which states that electrons fill the lowest energy orbitals first. The energy levels are designated with the numbers 1, 2, 3, and so on.

Pauli Exclusion Principle: Remember the Pauli Exclusion Principle, which states that no two electrons in an atom can have the same set of quantum numbers. This means that each orbital can hold a maximum of two electrons with opposite spins.
