Eriacta 100 contains the active ingredient Sildenafil citrate, which is a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor. It is primarily used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men by increasing blood flow to the penis, helping them achieve and maintain an erection when sexually stimulated. Eriacta 100 does not have a direct impact on libido or sexual desire.

Here's how Eriacta 100 affects the process of achieving and maintaining an erection:

  1. Enhanced Blood Flow: When a man is sexually aroused, nitric oxide is released in the erectile tissue of the penis. Nitric oxide activates an enzyme called guanylate cyclase, which increases levels of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP). cGMP relaxes the smooth muscles in the blood vessels of the penis, allowing them to dilate and increase blood flow. This increased blood flow is essential for an erection to occur.

  2. PDE5 Inhibition: Eriacta 100 works by inhibiting the action of PDE5, an enzyme that breaks down cGMP. By blocking PDE5, more cGMP is available in the erectile tissue, which helps maintain and prolong the relaxation of the blood vessels. As a result, the penis can remain engorged with blood, allowing for a sustained and firm erection.

While Eriacta 100 tablets facilitates the physiological process of achieving an erection when sexually aroused, it does not directly impact sexual desire or libido. Sexual desire is a complex psychological and emotional aspect of human sexuality, influenced by various factors such as attraction, mood, emotions, and relationship dynamics. Eriacta 100 does not alter these factors.

It's important to note that Eriacta 100 should be used as prescribed by a healthcare provider and is most effective when there is sexual arousal and stimulation. It will not create sexual desire on its own, nor will it address issues related to a lack of sexual interest or desire.

If you have concerns about changes in your sexual desire or libido, it's advisable to discuss these issues with a healthcare provider. They can help identify potential underlying causes and provide guidance or recommendations for addressing them, which may include lifestyle changes, therapy, or other interventions as appropriate.
