The creature is often described as having a horse's body with a human torso attached to it, with the head of the human-like figure nuckelavee sitting directly on top of the horse's back. This grotesque combination is said to make it incredibly frightening to behold. The Nuckelavee is also said to have a single, enormous eye that emits a toxic and foul-smelling breath.
