If you’re interested in buying a smokeless fire pit, you’ve probably seen the Solo Stove on the market. The company claims that its smokeless fire pits have a patented 360-degree airflow design that minimizes pesky smoke, which is a big plus for anyone who wants to avoid cough-inducing eye-stinging and clothes-stinking odors when you’re in the outdoors.

The Solo Stove Bonfire, Yukon, and Lite are all similar to the other models in their family; they’re portable and easy to set up, come with a carrying bag and can be used as a camping stove or backyard blaze. They’re available in a variety of sizes, and all feature Solo Stove’s patented secondary burn technology that minimizes smoke by bringing preheated oxygenated air to the top of the fire chamber through small holes.

The key to getting the most out of your Solo Stove is to keep it properly seasoned with dry, well-aged wood that has been kiln dried. This helps keep the flames centered and prevents popping (especially when burning softwoods), but it also makes for a faster, more efficient burn.

Aside from using dry wood, make sure to keep the fire ash pan empty after each burn. This ensures that you’ll get the most airflow out of your Solo Stove.

While Solo’s portable pits can be a little awkward to carry and put away, they’re definitely worth the investment if you want a smokeless fire pit for your backyard or a portable pit that you can take on camping trips. They’re also a great option for beginners and expert fire pit users alike!
