Today, yahoo mail sign up revealed an update that will let users create new Yahoo accounts and sign up for its services using any email address. If you want to utilize, say, Yahoo Fantasy Sports, you won't need to create a Yahoo email address any longer.
Assaf Kremer, a senior product manager at Yahoo, makes a telling statement in a blog post that explains this change:
Low-Code/No-Code Summit: Using AI to enable no-code platforms and streamline work I'm Jack. Jack wants to participate in Yahoo Fantasy Sports so that he may enjoy playing tournament pick'em. Jack already has an email account, like the majority of individuals. However, it is not a Yahoo email address.
When Yahoo Sports Tourney Pick'em was launched, Jack would have needed to create a new Yahoo email address merely to register. That is unfair to Jack and makes no sense at all. (I added emphasis.)
Here, the identity requirements have been modified in a manner that is somewhat similar of Google's practice of severing Google+ from its other services, including YouTube.
Yahoo recently changed a number of its assets. The business announced in February that 15% of its workforce would be let go. Soon later, the business disclosed two significant departures at Yahoo Labs.
According to Kremer, today's modification will "soon" be applied to Yahoo features other than Yahoo Fantasy Sports.
AOL and Outlook email accounts are only two of the many email account types Yahoo Mail supports.
