Could impact of pandemic on children's mental health be a factor?

The study on long Covid in children we've been discussing today was also able to provide some insight into how the stress and strain of the pandemic and existing health may be playing a role.

In slot xo of course, there is a time when friends can win and a time to lose bets. If your friends feel that they are getting lucky and playing fairly profitable. must stop playing immediately Never be greedy to continue playing. Because otherwise the money that friends have acquired will be gone without knowing.

Those taking part were asked about their emotional health and physical health.

Older girls with poorer physical and mental health were the group most likely to report ongoing symptoms.

Overall four in 10 of everyone who took part - among both those who tested positive and negative - reported feeling sad, worried or unhappy.

Researchers say it's clear the pandemic has had a damaging effect on young people because of the closure of schools, not seeing their friends and concern about the risk from the virus.

They say those who have been struggling emotionally and mentally could be more attuned to even minor physical illnesses and acknowledged a positive Covid test could help trigger that.

Dr Liz Whittaker, the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health lead on infectious disease, says the evidence on how mental health has been impacted shows how important it is to get “back to normal” and have schools open.
