Follow the Epson printer troubleshooting steps to fix your printer not printing black ink issue:
1. To clean the printhead, you need to use glass cleaner and distilled water and fill the sponges in the printhead with the solution.
2. Unlock the lever by starting the cleaning cycle from your Epson printer.
3. After the cleaning cycle is finished and you are able to move the printhead backward and forward, attempt to print black in.
4. Now switch off your printer and leave it like that for 15 minutes and so. Dry the printhead with the help of a clean and dry towel.
5. Set the printhead to its original position and get set printing.
After following the above steps, you will be able to print black ink without any issue. However, if the problem persists, we suggest you contact Epson Printer Support for assistance. To prevent this issue in the future, we suggest you use your printer on a regular basis, use genuine and compatible cartridges, and don’t perform cleaning cycles too much.

Unplug your printer's power cord and reconnect it after a few seconds. Small glitches get fixed easily with this method. Turn off your printer and then run print alignment on the machine to fix Why is My Epson Printer Not Printing. Open the printer's lid and check for any paper jams.
