First of all, take a look at our three parts of Tai Chi Learning System. The first part is Basic & Shor From, the second Internal & Dan Tian and the third Advanced & Push Hand.
1. Basic & Short Form—Class 101, 102
If you are new to Taichi or if you want to have a better understanding of Taichi (even if you have learned many years before), you should take Basic & Fundamental classes.
How to make a choice between Class 101 and Class 102?
It is your personal preference after checking class description. But we do suggest that you take both classes either one at a time or two at the same time. Why?
Because there is no conflict of learning two different styles, they actually help each other and make your learning complete. Generally, Yang Taichi emphasizes SPINE, WARDDING OFF ENERGY, and 3-D POSTURE, while Chen Taichi emphasizes Dan Tian, COILING ENERGY and FLOWING OF QI.
2. Internal & Dan Tian—Class 201, 202
If you want to benefit much more from Tai Chi and believe that there is something called DAN TIAN which always remains mysterious to most practitioners, you must take Internal & Essential Class 201. You just invest very small money and time finding a gold mine and then it will be all yours.
If you want to learn some Chinese most popular Qigong Drills or to take group meditation to effectively relieve stress, depression and anxiety, class 202 is your choice.
3. Advanced & Push Hand—Class 301, 302
If you want to learn Tai chi as a martial art and to have more fun, you consider taking Class 301 and class 302. You understand that the Taichi slow-movement training is to serve the purpose of Fa Jin (issue power or exploding).
In class 301, 42 San Shou is 42 Fa Jin movements. Taichi Weapons are extension of your arms and your intention. Once you master some important skills, whatever in your hand it can serve as a lethal weapon.
Class 302 Push-Hand is two person full body contact training that help you know yourself and your opponent. There is a famous saying is Sun Zi’s Arts of War, “Know your enemy, know yourself; hundred battles, hundred won.”
