Silk-Reeling Drills:
Group A:
- Holding ball left side and open right side
- Right hand clockwise circling
- Right hand clockwise plus small circling
- Right hand counter-clockwise circling
- Right hand counter-clockwise plus small circling
- Double hands counter-clockwise circling
Group B: (opposite side to Group A)
- Holding ball right side and open left side
- Left hand counter-clockwise circling
- Left hand counter-clockwise circling plus small circling
- Left hand clockwise circling

101-2: Chen Style Two Stances
- Primary: side bow stance (left & right)
- Secondary: ball stance (side, front & back)

Basic One: Warrior pounds mortar
- Small drill: lu, throw, liao
- Application: lu, throw, peng, flap, groin strike, knee & chin
Basic two: Lazily tying coat

- Application: elbow, liao & knee, elbow
Basic three: Six sealing four closing

Basic four: Single whip
- Small drill: rotate the ball, single hand circle
- Application: twist the head, chop the neck
